History:
Having skied and guided only telemark for the last 30 years (with a little bit of snowboard a few years ago) the time has come to return to my 25 years of alpine skiing roots.  I spent 14 years as the chief examiner for the NZSIA Telemark Division, developing the progressions and specifics for the instructor courses and adjusting the techniques as the equipment evolved from leather boots and skinny skis to the powerful plastic boots and wide shaped skis of today.  I've been fortunate to play in the snows of Finland, Norway, Japan, France, Kashmir, BC and Alberta in Canada, Alaska, Colorado, all of the west and east of the USA, Pakistan and of course NZ. 

Why the Nordica brand:
I've always enjoyed skis with spark and energy and the Nordica skis I'm currently using on the ski areas and in the backcountry have just that.  Lots of fun and great edge hold, easy turn initiation, and a smooth arc.

Why the Nordica Blower:
Into my 14th season with Harris Mt Heliski, the Nordica Blower is stable and powerful in all the variable conditions we experience daily in our heliski terrain, it has lots life and energy, and it's great fun when it gets uncorked on the big runs.  From the terrain south of Queenstown to the high, steep mountains near Mt Cook, I look forward to putting on my work clothes and grabbing my tools for another day at the office.
